CHOCOLATE FRUIT BOX

It was my Aunty's birthday on the 14th of February. Usually I would make her a cake, but this time I decided to deviate and made her a Chocolate Fruit box instead.
I made the other chocolate shell the previous night so that it could set and I mixed the fruit the next day.


It was well received.

I wanted to surprise a young relative with a cricket set cake. So I made him a cricket bat, ball, leg pads, hat, jersey and the works. Since he likes Sachin, I used a picture as a score board. The result..see.... I used a moist vanilla cake recipe which I found online. After reading the reviews, I decided that it was the right cake to prepare. But I was disappointed when I tasted the final result. The cake was tasty but not at all moist. Will never try that recipe again.

I wanted to make doughnuts for ages now. I never did find a recipe to my liking and then I can across this wonderful recipe for old fashioned cake doughnuts by karalalala. It's simple, easy, quick, uncomplicated and delicious. I added mashed ripe banana to the recipe and made banana doughnuts. Here's a pix: Dusted them with icing sugar and you just don't stop at one..
