FUNKY CAKES in GOA

I have never been a fan of fruit cake. But when I was asked to make one, I had no option. I browsed the net for a recipe that was right. After trying several, I fell for the Caribbean Black Fruitcake recipe. And marzipan icing completes the cake. Another cake I made months back. 

  I made a cheat's version of the Tiramisu and it was good. Meringue topped with strawberries and cream..yummmm Fig and cream pie. I used a sugar-free crust recipe. The sweetness of the figs and brown sugar that I added in the topping really worked well.

My last post was in the old year. Now it's Feb 2015 and high time that I upload some pix. Here are pix of a cake I made for my dad in October for his birthday. He loves gardening. I made him a fresh fruit layer cake.
