CONFIRMATION CAKE

Who doesn't love a challenge? And putting one's skills to use is really awesome. I had a Confirmation cake to prepare for my cousin's daughter. She wanted a white cake.

I made a rosary, a cross, a dove and a Bible.

The inside flavours were a surprise. I made a moist lemon cake, divided it into two layers and a white cake. 
I used salted caramel frosting for the bottom layer, then placed the white cake with lemon cream cheese and used whipped cream for the outside frosting. I drizzled the lemon cake with lemon syrup.

It was a nice combo. Soft, moist, lemony, creamy and delicious.

CRICKET SET CAKE

I wanted to surprise a young relative with a cricket set cake. So I made him a cricket bat, ball, leg pads, hat, jersey and the works. Since he likes Sachin, I used a picture as a score board. The result..see.... I used a moist vanilla cake recipe which I found online. After reading the reviews, I decided that it was the right cake to prepare. But I was disappointed when I tasted the final result. The cake was tasty but not at all moist. Will never try that recipe again.
