BRANDY and WHISKEY CAKE

My mum had the flu and for being a wonderful lady she deserved a wonderful cake for her birthday. So I went ahead and made her a brandy and whiskey cake and I used premium products. And the result was awesome.





And since she loves nuts. I sprinkled toasted cashew nuts and walnuts over the cake.

I wanted to surprise a young relative with a cricket set cake. So I made him a cricket bat, ball, leg pads, hat, jersey and the works. Since he likes Sachin, I used a picture as a score board. The result..see.... I used a moist vanilla cake recipe which I found online. After reading the reviews, I decided that it was the right cake to prepare. I wanted to make doughnuts for ages now. I never did find a recipe to my liking and then I can across this wonderful recipe for old fashioned cake doughnuts by karalalala. It's simple, easy, quick, uncomplicated and delicious. I added mashed ripe banana to the recipe and made banana doughnuts.
