BANANA CAKE DOUGHNUTS

I wanted to make doughnuts for ages now. I never did find a recipe to my liking and then I can across this wonderful recipe for old fashioned cake doughnuts by karalalala. It's simple, easy, quick, uncomplicated and delicious. I added mashed ripe banana to the recipe and made banana doughnuts. Here's a pix:

Dusted them with icing sugar and you just don't stop at one..

I wanted to surprise a young relative with a cricket set cake. So I made him a cricket bat, ball, leg pads, hat, jersey and the works. Since he likes Sachin, I used a picture as a score board. The result..see.... I used a moist vanilla cake recipe which I found online. After reading the reviews, I decided that it was the right cake to prepare. But I was disappointed when I tasted the final result. The cake was tasty but not at all moist. Will never try that recipe again.

Banana Loaf

Today had a whole lot of over-ripe bananas at home which I decided not to waste. Used around 4 bananas with milk, sugar, butter, 4 eggs, flour, cinnamon powder and made a Banana Loaf. I was impatient to try and as soon as it was ready, I waited for just 5 mins and digged into it. It's a firm textured yummy cake for serious banana lovers. Best had at during breakfast and Tea-time. Can even put a dollop of cream on it or some yummy syrup or, as I would have done coupled it with caramelised bananas and a fresh scoop of ice-cream. mmm

STRAWBERRY CAKE

Yesterday was Vrianna's birthday. Had some strawberries. So decided to make her a strawberry cake. Tweeked my usual recipe a bit and came up with a nice, soft, yummy tasting cake. On the day we had her party, I tried a different strawberry cake recipe. I used an icing sheet for the first time. This cake too was light and moist.
