FUNKY CAKES in GOA

I baked a moist chocolate cake for a neighbour, a 10 year old's birthday. Since I wanted to do something different, I decided to crush vanilla wafers and use it to decorate the cake. Some of the wafers went missing before the cake was cut.

I love to experiment with recipes. So when the banana doughnuts turned out great. I wanted to try baking the same batter as I had some of it left. So I decided to make bread. All I did was preheat the oven and bake them for around 20 mins.   Brushed the tops with egg. The result was obviously good.

I wanted to make doughnuts for ages now. I never did find a recipe to my liking and then I can across this wonderful recipe for old fashioned cake doughnuts by karalalala. It's simple, easy, quick, uncomplicated and delicious. I added mashed ripe banana to the recipe and made banana doughnuts. Here's a pix: Dusted them with icing sugar and you just don't stop at one..
