FUNKY CAKES in GOA

For mum's birthday, this year I made her an Orange Fresh Fruit Cake. I prepared the cake using fresh orange juice. The resulting cake was moist and soft. I cut the cake into two, and layered it with whipped cream and purple grapes, kiwi and strawberries. The combo worked well. The last combo I had tried was using Pineapple cake with fresh fruit and it was really finger-licking good.

On a television series, I watched someone using cola in a cake recipe. I decided to resear ch the re cipe. Most of the ones I found used marshmellows. Since I didn't have any on hand I decided to try a recipe without marshmellows. There's absolutely no chocolate used in this recipe, only cocoa powder and the result is really ammmazing.It is a soft, moist, melt in your mouth cake. If anyone wants to try out this recipe, please holler... I don't have a clear picture of how the cake looks when it's cut. But it is really worth a try. You just can't have enough of it. It tastes yumm..warm and cold.

Yesterday was Vrianna's birthday. Had some strawberries. So decided to make her a strawberry cake. Tweeked my usual recipe a bit and came up with a nice, soft, yummy tasting cake. On the day we had her party, I tried a different strawberry cake recipe. I used an icing sheet for the first time. This cake too was light and moist.

It was my bubba's bithday on the 22nd of December. Wanted to make a car shaped cake but as I was so very busy, I managed to bake the cake only late the previous night and ended up making a outline of the car on the cake. Since he is a choclate lover, made him a Chocolate Cake. Have been so very busy and will post some pictures of the sweets I prepared for Christmas.
