FUNKY CAKES in GOA

A kiddies birthday party is always so full of fun. And to have a cake as thrilling is a joy. It was Dennis's 6th Birthday party and he's so into monster jeeps. So made him a cake with huge tyres. My art may not be perfect but it achieved the desired results. Any comments guys?? The cake wheels were a tangy lemon flavoured cake. The main body was lemon cake and simple chocolate cake.

My mama loves her fruit cakes. It was her birthday and she wanted one. She had soaked fruit with rum and candid peel and gave it to me to use. I used a Carribean Recipe that I found online. The taste was amazing, though I didn't manage to get the black colouring. And I used marzipan icing to cover the cake. I used food colours and icing sugar to decorate the cake. Overall Delicious.

My cousin's daughter just turned sixteen. And what better way to celebrate her special day with something that she loves the most. So I made her a book cake. It was a Death by Chocolate cake as that is what she loves. The last pix is a blur but just to get a general all round view of the cake.

Wanted to try a shaped cake. And I actually found someone who makes yummy tasting fondant as well as shaped items for cakes, and she's real good. I made a Almond Cake and a Death by Chocolate cake. The Almond cake was a first, I tweaked the recipe and the resulting cake was soft. The Death by Chocolate cake is always awesome. Here are some pictures.
